How It Works

The treatment process involves two key stages:

  1. Concentration: We first use foam fractionation or reverse osmosis to concentrate the PFAS from the leachate. This step reduces the volume of contaminated liquid, enabling more efficient and effective destruction of PFAS.
  2. Destruction: The concentrated PFAS is then processed using our PFAS Annihilator®, which employs supercritical water oxidation (SCWO) technology. This method uses high temperature and pressure to break down the strong carbon-fluorine bonds in PFAS molecules, ensuring the destruction of all PFAS compounds, from long-chain to ultra-short-chain, with no harmful byproducts.
