David Trueba

President and Chief Executive Officer

David Trueba joined Revive Environmental in January 2023, and serves on the board and as President and Chief Executive Officer.

David’s 20 year career has been in the allied chemical, materials, and environmental services industries. Prior to joining Revive, David was the Vice President and General Manager of Evoqua’s Pro-Act Environmental Solutions Division, where he led the mobile remediation and granular activated carbon business. He joined Evoqua in 2018 as the Regional GM of the high purity water treatment business in the west of US and Canada. Mr. Trueba held various positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, product line management, purchasing, leading teams at Adams Rite Aerospace, Entek International, and Celanese. David served on the non-profit board of Young Entrepreneur Business Week (YEBW). He has a M.B.A from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Texas A&M University. He holds five patents on process chemistry technology and optimization.

Rick Gillespie

Chief Commercial Officer

Rick Gillespie joined Revive Environmental in July 2023 as Chief Commercial Officer to lead the development and execution of the commercial strategy for the business. Rick is responsible for leading the sales, marketing, and business development with a goal to realize a future with clean water, free from PFAS and other hazardous contaminants.

With over 25 years of experience in hazardous waste remediation, Rick has focused on innovative remediation technologies for treating PFAS, chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, and metals in soils and groundwater. Prior to Revive, Rick served for 24 years at Regenesis where he led sales and business development efforts for both remediation and vapor intrusion mitigation. He has collaborated with E&C firms, state and federal regulatory agencies, private industry, and DoD clients to ensure successful project completion at over 1,000 sites. His primary responsibilities included managing Regenesis business development efforts, coordinating DoD projects, and providing turn-key and performance-based remediation services for clients in North America.

Before joining Regenesis, Mr. Gillespie was a Research Scientist at Battelle Memorial Institute in Columbus, OH. He worked extensively on several DoD projects including the USAF-sponsored Bioventing Initiative, Bioslurping Initiative and served as a co-author on the Air Sparging Design Paradigm.

Rick earned a B.S. degree in Environmental Science from the University of Oklahoma.

Brandon Loo

Director, Technology and Operations

Brandon (“Kamanu”) joined Revive in February 2023 as the Product Engineering Manager.

During his 23-year career, he has worked in multiple engineering disciplines and in varied organizational structures.  Having spent 9 years in aerospace and defense with Lockheed Martin and Raytheon and 14 years in embedded/industrial controls and automation systems with Milwaukee Electronics, Kamanu’s experience in technology and business processes is extensive. 

Mr. Loo’s technical expertise stretches from airborne radar to inkjet printing and his customer focused engineering strategies have been honed by varying types of contracting relationships.

Kamanu holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University.

Kevin Boyne

Chief Operations Officer

Kevin Boyne joined Battelle in 2011 and serving as Chief Operations Officer of Revive Environmental, as well as the Director of Program and Operational Excellence for Battelle’s Applied Science and Technology business. Reporting within the Performance Excellence group, Kevin is accountable for targeted investigations and improvement actions with purpose to advance operational effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance. Ongoing improvement initiatives within Performance Excellence seek to further integrate business and quality systems in ways that reduce operational uncertainty, cost of execution, and cost of poor quality.

Prior to this role, Kevin was the Director, Performance Excellence, and a former Business Unit General Manager, delivering mission-critical, technology-driven, hardware and software solutions serving clients’ needs in national security.

Kevin has 26 years’ experience in passenger car and heavy truck product design and development serving vehicle original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and their suppliers. Prior to joining Battelle, he was a Senior Business Development Manager and Chief Engineer involved in international joint ventures where he was active in deal team, formal due diligence, and business case. His career in new product development included chief engineer positions in advanced engineering, systems engineering, competitive product benchmarking, product verification/validation and production readiness.

Kevin is a graduate of The Ohio State University in Mechanical Engineering and earned his MBA at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Revive Environmental finance director, Bryan chard

Bryan Chard

Finance Director

Bryan Chard joined Revive Environmental in May 2023 as the Finance Director.

Prior to joining Revive, Bryan spent 14 years at Battelle Memorial Institute, the world’s largest independent nonprofit applied science and technology organization. At Battelle he served in various finance roles including Finance Manager and, most recently, Treasury Director. His experience spans a multitude of functions, and he brings a broad perspective to the Revive team including financial planning and analysis, cost estimating, program finance, banking and cash management, risk management and insurance, and debt financing. In addition to his finance acumen, he has experience leading cross-functional teams for corporate-wide initiatives.

Bryan graduated from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a minor in Economics.

Trevor Whitson

Director of Product Portfolio and Marketing

Trevor Whitson joined Revive Environmental in February 2023 to lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies based on voice of the customer and market opportunities.

Trevor has over 20 years’ experience in corporate, consulting and start-up roles across several industries including agriculture, oil & gas, chemicals, aerospace & defense, healthcare, commercial real estate, technology, and private equity.

Prior to joining Revive, Trevor’s leadership included 9 years at Scotts Miracle-Gro as General Manager of various consumer and professional lawn & garden businesses, including the turnaround of a biotechnology start-up targeting homebuilders. Mr. Whitson held leadership positions at Sprinturf, Archer Career and Celanese Corporation. He was a management consultant at Bain & Company and Booz & Company with work focused on strategic marketing, innovation, growth strategies, organizational change, operations, and due diligence.

Trevor is an active leader in Scouts BSA. He received an M.B.A. with High Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a Sc.B. in Materials Engineering and A.B. in Philosophy from Brown University.
