Revive Environmental Featured in WasteDive for Advancing PFAS Destruction

Revive Environmental was recently featured in WasteDive, a leading industry publication covering waste, water, and environmental services, for its role in a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD)–funded demonstration project focused on PFAS remediation and destruction.

The article, DoD-funded PFAS demo projects show promise for remediation and destruction,” highlights how federal agencies are partnering with innovative technology providers to evaluate scalable solutions capable of fully destroying per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Revive Environmental was recognized for deploying its PFAS Annihilator® technology as part of these efforts.

According to WasteDive, early results from the DoD demonstration projects show encouraging performance from emerging PFAS treatment approaches that go beyond containment or transfer. Revive’s PFAS Annihilator® system — which uses supercritical water oxidation — was deployed to treat PFAS-impacted materials under real-world conditions, reinforcing its readiness for commercial application.

These projects support the DoD’s broader initiative to accelerate PFAS cleanup across hundreds of impacted sites nationwide, many affected by historical use of aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF). The goal is to identify solutions that can reliably destroy PFAS across the spectrum — including long-, short-, and ultra-short-chain compounds — while minimizing long-term liability and environmental risk.Revive

Environmental’s inclusion in this national effort underscores its commitment to providing verified PFAS destruction, not just treatment. All PFAS destruction performed by Revive is validated through third-party analysis and documented with a certificate of processing, confirming PFAS compounds have been destroyed to EPA drinking water standards.
